Follow the adventures of a Northern British Columbian equestrian and her trio of horses - an anxious, but pleasant young Appendix named Annie, a spicy potato mini named Spud, and the newest addition, a little APHA weanling named Maizey.
Being not very computer savvy I really don't know. But if you go into your settings there might be a way to opt out of Google searches. Or you could always post a question there for a community discussion. Good luck.
Thanks for the input!I did change my settings, but it still shows up in Google searches... and I have also posted in the community discussion with no results. It isn't a big deal, but I just don't understand how to change my settings. I have tried emailing Blogger Support too.
I know how to do this in Wordpress, but not blogger so I looked it up. I think this will work: settings > search preferences > custom robots header tags. Here's a page on what to do there: https://developers.google.com/search/reference/robots_meta_tag?hl=enI will say, it takes a while for google to reindex things so if you changed your settings recently, but the pages are still showing up in search results, give it some time.
Thank you, Olivia!! I did previously find that and had filled it out, but it makes sense it would take some time to remediate. I also hadn't clicked some of the other options to ensure photos don't show up as well as text results. If that makes sense.
Just wanted to add that you'll need to clear your cache(history) before "testing" your new settings, otherwise your frequent pages/searches will continue to show as the first results on your computer even if you're not "searchable" to everyone else :)
Oh, good to know!! I will do that also. Thank you, T <3
Hmmm... didn't seem to work. If I still Google one of the clinicians I took lessons from, my pictures and blog posts still show up.
There absolutely is if you haven't found it yet (my own blog has stayed out of google searches all these years! Under Settigngs go to Basic and in the first area at the top it should say "Privacy" click edit - there are two sub categories one is "add your blog to our listings?" This means people can find you within the Blogger app itself by searching for your like email or click the "next blog" on the little blogger header we all have. If you don't want to be listed there select no.The next one is "Let search engines find your blog" the answer tehre of course will be no. Now understand old posts will still probably show up for a while, indexing doesn't happen over night, so also clearing googles big ol cache of webpages won't clear overnight either.
